Background : IFN-induced antiviral protein which disrupts intracell µLar cholesterol homeostasis. Inhibits the entry of viruses to the host cell cytoplasm by preventing viral fusion with cholesterol depleted endosomes. May inactivate new enveloped viruses which buds out of the infected cell, by letting them go out with a cholesterol depleted membrane. Background : IFN-induced antiviral protein which acts as an inhibitor of cell µLar as well as viral processes, cell migration, proliferation, signaling, and viral replication. Background : Interferon-induced antiviral RNA-binding protein that specifically binds single-stranded RNA bearing a 5\'-triphosphate group (PPP-RNA), thereby acting as a sensor of viral single-stranded RNAs and inhibiting expression of viral messenger RNAs. Single-stranded PPP-RNAs, which lack 2\'-O-methylation of the 5\' cap and bear a 5\'-triphosphate group instead, are specific from viruses, providing a molec µLar signature to distinguish between self and non-self mRNAs by the host during viral infection. Directly binds PPP-RNA in a non-sequence-specific manner. Background : Innate immune receptor which acts as a cytoplasmic sensor of viral nucleic acids and plays a major role in sensing viral infection and in the activation of a cascade of antiviral responses including the induction of type I interferons and proinflammatory cytokines. The 9-1-1 complex stim µLates DNA polymerase beta (POLB) activity by increasing its affinity for the 3\'-OH end of the primer-template and stabilizes POLB to those sites where LP-BER proceeds; endonuclease FEN1 cleavage activity on substrates with double, nick, or gap flaps of distinct sequences and lengths; and DNA ligase I (LIG1) on long-patch base excision repair substrates. The 9-1-1 complex is necessary for the recruitment of RHNO1 to sites of double-stranded breaks (DSB) occurring during the S phase.
