8 OHdG (8 Hydroxydeoxyguanosine) ELISA Kit

The 8-Hydroxy-2′-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) ELISA Kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for the quantitative detection of oxidative DNA damage. It measures 8-OHdG, a major oxidative lesion formed when reactive oxygen species attack guanine bases in DNA. The kit uses an 8-OHdG–protein conjugate pre-coated on microplates and a specific monoclonal anti-8-OHdG antibody. Sample 8-OHdG competes with the bound antigen for antibody binding, and the resulting signal (read at 450 nm) is inversely proportional to the analyte concentration. The assay typically detects 0.05–10 ng/mL with high specificity and low cross-reactivity. It is widely used in research on oxidative stress, aging, carcinogenesis, and neurodegenerative disorders using serum, urine, plasma, or DNA hydrolysates
