Gel combs are an integral component of gel electrophoresis. When casting your gels, setting up a gel to have the desired number of wells to load and run the sample is essential. This is where gel combs will be of use. During the gel casting process, the comb will remain seated, blocking off well areas as the polymerization occurs. Once the gel is solidified, the comb is removed, and the wells that have been created by the comb remain. To suit your needs, a broad range of combs, to be used with the Compact XS/S system, are available with varied well numbers and sizes. The combs are also available as combs which are multichannel pipet compatible.
