CD117 / c-Kit (Marker for Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors)(KIT/2669) , Biotin conjugate , 0.1mg / mL
CD117 , also known as c-kit , is a member if the immunoglobin superfamily. It is a receptor tyrosine kinase that is expressed on hematopoietic progenitor cells. It binds to the c-kit ligand KITLG/SCF and has roles in cell survival and cell proliferation. Upon ligand binding , it activates a number of signaling pathways. It is found on a wide variety of tumor cells including follicular and papillary carcinoma of thyroid , adenocarcinomas from endometrium , lung , ovary , pancreas , and breast as well as malignant melanoma , endodermal sinus tumor , and small cell carcinoma.Primary antibodies are available purified , or with a selection of fluorescent CF® Dyes and other labels. CF® Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF®405S and CF®405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets , because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.
