BRCA1 (Breast Marker)(BRCA1/2986) , Biotin conjugate , 0.1mg / mL
BRCA1 is a nuclear phosphoprotein that plays a role in maintaining genomic stability , and it also acts as a tumor suppressor. It combines with other tumor suppressors , DNA damage sensors , and signal transducers to form a large multi-subunit protein complex known as the BRCA1-associated genome surveillance complex (BASC). BRCA1 associates with RNA polymerase II , and through the C-terminal domain , also interacts with histone deacetylase complexes. This protein thus plays a role in transcription , DNA repair of double-stranded breaks , and recombination. Mutations in this gene are responsible for approximately 40% of inherited breast cancers and more than 80% of inherited breast and ovarian cancers. Primary antibodies are available purified , or with a selection of fluorescent CF® Dyes and other labels. CF® Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF®405S and CF®405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets , because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.
