Background : Energy-dependent phospholipid efflux translocator that acts as a positive reg µLator of biliary lipid secretion. Functions as a floppase that translocates specifically phosphatidylcholine (PC) from the inner to the outer leaflet of the canalic µLar membrane bilayer into the canalic µLi of hepatocytes. Background : May function as a general inhibitor of the histone deacetylase HDAC1. Background : Is able to inhibit all four classes of proteinases by a unique \'trapping\' mechanism.
